Alan Bearman Music is a music agency representing some of the foremost artists on the folk, roots and acoustic music scene. ABM was formed in late 2004 and is based at Kings Place in North London. Alan has over thirty years’ experience of programming festivals and events including Sidmouth Festival, Towersey Festival, Folk in the Fall at the South Bank Centre and Ards International Guitar Festival as well as showcases and conferences for Folk Arts England and The Association of Festival Organisers.
Alan is joined in ABM by Marketing Manager and agent James Garrett and agents Sarah Coxson, Sarah Allen and Chris Pentney. Tash Daly advances most of the agency’s gigs and works on artistic admin for Sidmouth FolkWeek. Elle Rees is our financial administrator. Lisa Ratcliff deals with the legalities of touring overseas artists and Lyn Beardsall organises some of our tours by overseas artists. With many years of club, event, marketing and festival organisation and promotion behind us we provide a professional, understanding and complete service for our artists and bookers alike.
Whilst agency is our core business we continue to work as programmers and consultants and are heavily involved in many aspects of the folk scene. Alan is Artistic and Marketing Director of Sidmouth FolkWeek James is the festival’s Marketing Manager and Sarah Coxson the festival’s Press Officer. ABM also regularly curates concert series for King’s Place in London.
